• Gear checks from the time you are at the hangar to the time you leave that plane.
• Be humble and open. Your life is not the only one you are risking.

• Introduce yourself.
• Attend as many canopy camps and basic skills camps as you can.
• Stay and party AFTER you are done jumping.
• Be very kind to the manifest.
• Put your trash in the cans.
DON’Ts
• Act like you know what you are talking about when you don’t.
• Be afraid to ask strangers to jump with you. It’s how you meet your future jump buddies.
• Cut anyone off on final approach
• Go against the landing direction
• Bring your dog
• Leave children unattended – the DZ is no place for a wandering little one unless you want to expose your child to danger
• Smoke near the packing mat
• Assume that someone who has a lot of jumps knows anything more than you
