    • No-wind day. Landing direction set: towards the mountains. You turn on final too early and looks like you gonna overshoot by a lot... You still at 200ft and already over the peas.
      What you gonna do?

This is a new tool that will be used for anyone using the school gear.  The canopy portion of the sky dive is not being thought out enough.  We will now be “Dirt Diving” (practicing the flight) of the canopy ride.  The winds will be posted on the picture of the ranch that sits on the table you sign in on.

This is an example of what is to be done.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

You also need to know how far or close you need to exit the airplane.  The simplest way- Add up the wind speeds given next to the direction-divide by 4 and add two zeros.  This is the amount of feet you need to be away (upwind) from the target.  The runway is approx 2300 feet so that is your ruler.  This would be the perfect spot.  Everyone can not have the perfect spot. So you can get out half the distance sooner and half the distance past and still make it home.  Make sure you mark on your planner where is the correct exit point for you from the closest to the furthest!

We will help you map out your flight planners the first couple times through.  Show your completed planner to the radio person for your load. ( radio check is a great time to do this)
